How To Prep

  • Avoid waxing when your skin is sensitive.
  • For female Brazilian / Bikini services the best time to wax is a week after your menstrual cycle. You will be more sensitive a few days before, during, and after your menstrual cycle.
  • Let your hair grow out at least 1/4 inch (about the size of a grain of rice)
  • Avoid tanning a week before your appointment. Even if you don’t get a sunburn, your skin will be more sensitive and prone to irritation after a tan.
  • Wax exfoliates spray / sunless tans. It’s best to wax first, then wait a day or two to do a sunless tanning service.
  • Check for irritation, cuts, bruises, or breakouts. Even small shaving cuts can develop irritation when waxed.
  • Do not moisturize the day of your scheduled appointment.

Important Aftercare

  • Keep waxed area clean & avoid heat and friction during the next 24—48 hours to prevent irritating the skin
  • Avoid touching or scratching the treated area with unwashed hands
  • Wear clean, loose fitting clothes
  • It is recommended to rebook your waxing appointment every 3—4 weeks for facial waxing and every 4—6 weeks for body waxing
  • DO NOT SHAVE IN BETWEEN TREATMENTS

For The Next 24- 48 Hours AVOID The Following:

  • Sexual activity for Brazilian waxes
  • Hot baths / showers, saunas, hot tubs, steam treatments
  • Tanning, sunbathing, tanning beds, or spray / sunless tans
  • Strenuous exercise or any situation that might cause excessive sweating
  • Chlorinated pools and salt water
  • Tight fitting clothing
  • No deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by Five Point Five

On The Third Day After Service

  • Gently exfoliate 2—3 times a week with a dry brush, exfoliating mitt, or products containing enzymes, lactic, or salicylic acid to prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Do not over exfoliate as this can cause damage to the skin
  • Moisturize daily
